EXLI For Teams
We work with teams of all shapes and sizes by cultivating the leadership competencies of each individual as well as the "group" at large. Together we assess what’s out of balance with the team, explore strategies for resolving these issues, and work on a concrete plan to achieve a specific set of goals.
Is This For My Team?
We define teams as "groups of individuals connected through a common set of goals." Whether it's a work team or an intimate partnership, each team-member needs the requisite skill to be able to consistently act in alignment with their own personal goals, as well as the goals of the team. We work with highly-functioning and motivated people who are fully capable of achieving their goals, but simply need some structure, support and guidance.
If you agree with any one of these statements your team may benefit from our programs:
"I frequently feel overwhelmed and exhausted by my interactions with my team/partner."
"Despite the best of intentions we frequently struggle to find common ground and effectiveness."
"Some of my team-mates frequently feel impatient or angry or frustrated."
"My schedule feels hectic and I frequently feel overwhelmed and rushed."
Our programs are designed to give each member of the team the skills to better meet these challenges.
What Is Our Process?
In addition to each team-member participating in their individual programs, we also explore the team's dynamics, goals and needs. We typically go through the Assessment/ Goal Setting/ Knowledge/ Skill-building stages for each team-member (more details here) as well as the team-at-large:
At this stage we answer the question "What's going on for us that's preventing us from consistently being able to act in alignment with our goals and values?" In addition to a 1-1 conversation with each team member, we also use a variety of tools [such as EQi 2.0, Values Discovery] to benchmark strengths and areas that can be improved.
2. Goal Setting
At this stage we answer the question "What exactly is it that we would like to be different?" We get very specific about [video: SMART Goals] what the team (and individuals) are hoping to accomplish and what it's going to take to get there.
At this stage we answer the question "What do we need to learn in order to be able to accomplish our collective goals?" Understanding how our brain and body works, and why we do what we do is key to cultivating wisdom, patience and compassion throughout your process.
At this stage we answer the question "What specific skills do we need to acquire in order to be able to accomplish our goals?" Having just a conceptual or intellectual understanding does us no good if we can't translate this knowledge into consistent action/behaviors. In order to cultivate self-mastery you'll need to practice - a lot.
How Much Of Our Time Will This Take?
After our initial assessment and goal setting sessions (60 minutes each) each team-member will be asked to spend at least 5 to 20 minutes daily to execute their personal action-plan over a 6 week period. In addition to daily exercises each team-member will also have a weekly 60 minute, 1-1 meeting (online or in-person) with their EXLI guide as well as a weekly 60-minute team meeting.
How Much Does it cost?
We typically schedule teams into a six week program, which costs $1,900 per participant and includes:
EQi 2.0 for each team-member
EQi debrief for each team-member (60 minutes)
Goal Setting session for each team-member (60 minutes)
Access to all online trainings and exercises/tools
Weekly 1-1 check-in via video conference call for each team-member (60 minutes)
Weekly team check-in/debrief via video conference call (60 minutes)
Where Do the Meetings Take Place?
Usually, on the phone or by video conference (Google Hangouts). We work with clients from all over the world.
